Graph of Functions(Modulus Function)

The function y= f(x) is defined by
is called a modulus function. It also known as absolute value function.
We can see that the domain of the modulus function is the set R of real numbers. and the range is the set of all non-negative real numbers.
The graph of this function consists of
- line y= -x, when x<0
- point (0,0)
- line y=x, when x >0
It is clear from the graph that is a many-one into function.
