2=3 the secret proof

It is possible with a little trickery to prove that 2=3 by using algebra.
Let x=y=5
15x=15y and
10x=10y
15x-10x=15y-10y
15x-15y=10x-10y (by transposition)
15(x-y) =10(x-y)
ie,15=10
ie 2=3

The trick is that (x-y)/(x-y) is not equal to 1 when x=y
Yes you are correct.When x=y, x-y=0 and we know that division by zere is not defined.
